i must finish the one in red first before i start on the orange ones. this is totally insane. and i just finished my recess week, most of which was spent doing readings, reports, drafts, mugging and whatnots. i dont seem to have a life. or at least, my life is highly unexciting.

e-learning week next week, so school only on monday and thursday, phew. shall spend my weekends and next week finishing up the things on my to-do list. sometimes i am thankful that i am OCD-ish. lol.

on a brighter note, i just got an email from my sg studies tutor! he said no one in our tutorial class flunked the essay assignment. i am sooo relieved! i seriously thought i wld flunk! 

and i am hating OCS right now. i can talk to fadh for barely 10 minutes a day! and this will go on for NINE months?! >.< disgusting NS. boyfriend-stealer.

k im off to mug history again. i dont know the method to study history, esp since i havent done it since i was 14. i've tried mindmaps and timelines and plain boring notes so we'll see tmr if they work haha. i swear i'll get nightmares about the meiji restoration, russo-jap war, genghis khan and his mongolian peeps and samurais tonight. haha,

gna watch amazing race laterrr , got new season! :D and i totally <3 fernando torres for his amazing hattrick against hullcity on saturday. totally made my night. plus chelsea lost so HA HA HA ancelotti. :D

went for dinner at arnold's after. the run i had in the morning went to waste. :( then shopped at cityplaza. got so many prostitute-y clothes! they shdnt sell such stuff to encourage such... activities around the joochiat area! ish ish ish. trained home, got home prettty late. watched recorded version of idol.

i dun understand why the judges enjoyed pokerface by duane! haha. it was so.. weird. he totally destroyed the song, i think? i mean, im not such a huge fan of lady gaga cause she's just bizarre (did u see what she wore to vmas?! when she got her award she was wearing a red ski-cap kind of thing over her head, like she's going to rob someone) but i thought her song deserved to be sang better. lol.

worst thing is its my recess week this week, and i was hoping to spend some of it with him, but the nation comes calling. =X i'll have to wait threeeeeeeee weeks to see my boy again. so friggin long, can? :(

going to katong tmr with ain. checking out the peranakan area for southeast asian studies. hopefully the place is interesting! if not i will have nada to write for fieldtrip report. shall take lots of shots, hopefully nice ones. (:

my raya was enjoyable! ate alot of rendang and my mom's sambal was superb. the cash is not bad too heh heh. visiting cik nap's place on thursday night, since she's flying back to abu dhabi on saturday. faizah's probably going in march but i have school till may. i want to go in decemberr when its all chilly and there's global village at dubai. but i dun wanna go myself! no way im going to fly seven hours alone! scary!

pheww. its been a long week! soci assignments and PS midterms just now. was alright i guess =X
finally handed in my sg studies essay. i am deathly afraid that i plagiarised. i put in quotation marks and footnotes and the needed bibliography, plus i rephrased, provided my own input and all that. but for some reason something at the back of my head is telling me i didnt do enough! shitttttt.

whoever said JC was the hardest days of your life was wrong. JC and uni are both hard, just for different reasons. i miss how dependent we can get on our tutors in JC. i miss doing gp essays with just the info from the top of my head without having to do all the &^%^^*& referencing and whatnots.

hopefully this is just because this is my first semester and i havent gotten into the groove of things. =X

finally had tomyam on monday with fadh. bumped into many ex-schoolmates including faris and kinnie! i havent seen faris is forever so it was gd to finally see him. hopefully we all get to jalan raya this year (:

mostly a boring week with lots of mugging for pol sci. hopefully i scrape a B or smt for my midterms.

recess week should be a gd rest! BUT, got loads of assignments due after that and got midterms toooo. i have to do a fieldtrip report for southeast asian studies. have to go to a place in SG which is SEAsian and talk to the people, take photos etc. shd be so fun! but i havent thought of a place to go and i dont want to go myselfff. maybe i'll go with ain. but she wants to do on peranakan stuff and i want to do on cambodian/myanmar etc. oh wellls.

hari raya is coming ! exciting. i havent bought some of my stuff so going out tmr with the boy! who is going to get his posting next week! so nervous! i hope he gets OCS which is good lah (more pay heheheheehhe) PLUS it is also in jurong! but that means a ten-day field camp or smt. horrible.

school has been treating me alright. i finally got my confirmed timetable for this semester! you can click it to enlarge it! i dont know why i cant enlarge it here, probably a problem with the dimensions or smt. anyway.



lets trade timetables! i got lucky with my timetabling this semester. i have a four-day week on even weeks, and three-day weeks on odd weeks. shiok seh! but look at tuesday, i end at 8. and wednesday i start at 8. i should go and bunk in with lysa and ad heehee. i bring my sleeping bag k! if someone comes to check i shall hide in one of the infinitely tall cupboards. can can? :D

and look at thursday! i'll be so damn shagged at the end of the day, esp since i must shuttle btwn arts and engineering. raf and i were late on thursday cause we went to the deck to get drinks before soci. but we found the right shuttle bus to take already! so next time no need to climb so many staircases. (NUS: national university of steps)

lunched with the FOS girls (mary and mas) + ain + adil at megabites before history on tuesday. adil actually came to crash, and he sat through history with us! we were late so we had to sit on the floor in the glass box. lol. met nuurun to get the book from her, and then went for sg studies with jasmine.

omgossshhh i already have an essay to do for sg studies. it sounds totally impossible. smth to do with maps, documents and archaelogical evidence that proves sg has been around for alot longer than raffles. stress! its due in around three weeks so hopefully i get it done!

i want to join interfaculty games netball but i am intimidated cause i am surrounded by real sports people while i can only reflect on my days from a lonng lonnng time ago when i could run 2.4 in 11 minutes and do 50 situps in a minute. i have gotten grossly unfit, unhealthy and fat and i want to go back to my younger days when i had so much energy to exercise! i must call coach allan. he'll whip me back into shape haha.

anyway.

i've been checking out my modules forums and its freaking me out cause those pple who post there really seem to know what they're writing! the only lecture i think i can safely say i understand everything is politcal science (dr. erik mobrand rules!). i laugh alot during dr johnson's lectures but his last lecture on maps of southeast asia confused me a little. he didnt really go thru physical maps, it was more of cultural + ideological maps? gosh! 

but i read the forum postings in my PS mod and there's this guy with really strong sentiments, regarding the whole MM Lee - Viswa - Pledge debate. i kind of agree with him though. hmmm. very sensitive issue so i shant blog about it.

hmm.

anyway, i think i bit off wayyy more than i can chew. maybe i should have stuck with science. oh well. i shall try my best. hopefully after getting this far, i dont screw up my uni education.

oh ramadan starts tmr! selamat berpuasa all! insyallah we'll get through school and stuff! we must must must meet up to buka together okay. i miss having you girls all together! and can jalan raya this year omgosh so exciting.



i miss baby! he's at outfield now, since ytd aftnn. he'll be out tmr aftnn. so poor thing, must sahur in the dark in the middle of some ulu hutan at tekong! hmmpfff. he's all done with his IPPT (silver sehhh! my strong handsome man. hehe) and field camp and tht range thingy so he's gonna POP realllly soon! cannot wait. but if OCS beckons..... =X

im done with my readings for the weekend! pheww. got so many okay! i still have to read up for guest lecture on environmentalism, and several other tutorial readings but otherwise, im done! so tiring. tutorials begin next week, i hope my tutorial grp is okay. i dunno anyone in my SE, HY and SSA tutorials so i'm a bit pensive. lucky i have raf for PS and SC. :D

stayed up to watch my team crash 2-1 to a team which almost went down last season. i was like wtf? when tottenham scored, and like yeay when liverpool levelled and like WTF? when tottenham scored again. omgosh liverpool played awfully ytd it was like watching derby county play. so ashamed to be a liverpool fan last night! it wld have been okay if they gave a gd fight, but they didnt. based on the first game, it looks like liverpool will have to wait another season for the cup.

no school today since tutorials havent begun. shall stay home and slack. i have so many readings to do for lectures this week, and i finished all except for history and soci. im going to central library tmr to get the history book (i went to yishun and wdlnds libraries, they dun have it!) and then meeting nuurun to get the soci book frm her.

i miss my carefree lifestyle! its only been a week of sch and im already lazy haha.

its been awhile eh!
 

i've been doing nothing much lah, just slacking at home. last week was exercise week: monday 4k run around yishun, wednesday squash with fadh, friday gym with lysa! went to cik nong's house on saturday to hang out. watched the boys swim and tried to avoid their water guns (unsuccessful, btw), and played with the extremely pampered fat cat Snoop. haha went shopping at Parkway Parade, bought a Mango bag! finally i got a long strap bag.

finally watched body of lies. leonardo is so sexy speaking in arabic. he shd do so more often! monday was my self-appointed Chick Flick day: i watched Bring it On 1, 3 and 4 (i dont like the 2nd one), and Legally Blonde 1 & 2. i loooove reese witherspoon, cutest actress ever. went out for dinner last night at fish & chicks, ate way too much, but it made my night cause i met syafs' family there! heh. <3

shall slack my day away again today. going out tmr with fadh, and friday with the girls for gym!

okay so its been a busy past couple of weeks. for some reason, i feel soo much busier now post-As compared to during my mugging days. haha.

okay so i spent last last week baking cookies for the masjid bake sale. my chocolate chip cookies turned out really nice but my double choc chip cookies were slightly bitter cause i used the wrong type of chocolate. on friday i went to the airport to fetch cik nap, taufiq and cik bambang. they were here for a holiday from abu dhabi. missed them aloot! went to ciknap's house and chilled out at her house. then we all went out to raffles hosp to visit uncle shaun after his appendix op. yup then went shopping for presents with mom.

saturday was a rushed rushed day for me. went out to meet mary for the flea market, got hopelessly lost trying to find it, climbed an infinitely long and steep staircase. rummaged arnd the flea market just for like half an hour i think? i got a sailor-inspired stripey top which is kinda cute but the neckline is weird. haha. rushed home to find my family not ready yet grr so i sat around waiting for them to get ready then we left for my family gathering. best best its been so long since i met my cousins so i really enjoyed it. ate kinda alot. got home really late.

went out on sunday with the girls, we went to ecp! it was really a nice day cause the weather was slightly rainy and damp but not humid. cycled for 2 hours, ate, sat around and camwhored majorly. hah. it was really lovely to spend time with the girls. went to the airport to eat popeye's (that seems to be our tradition eh? :D) and stuff. twas a great day! <3

worked monday and wednesday. tuesday and thursday i stayed home babysitting my baby brother who didnt go to school due to fever. fake ah. hah, he became perfectly fine after my mom went to work. haha. i went to NUS bukit timah campus on friday for my law interview. i was so nervous i thought my knees would buckle. lucky daddy dropped me off :D the professors who interviewed me were really nice so i guess it was alright. i got nervous and took some time to consolidate my thoughts though. they asked me about discrimination in Sg, laws regarding GMOs and why i dont want to be a teacher. scary scary. cabbed to newton after that to meet up with baby and we had a very late lunch i was staarrrrving. (:

saturday i went to send cik nap off at the airport. starbuck-ed with the cousins i had a large java chip all to myself YUM. got monehhh from ciknap for the alevels. oh btw she offered me to come with her for her london trip in july! BUT, most probably i'll be starting school and will be very busy so i highly doubt it would happen. and my mom will have alot of things to say as well. but i'm definitely going back to abu dhabi at the end of the year insyallah. i'll stay longer, maybe a month? :D popeye-d AGAIN after cik nap went in. how can i not get fat right.

sunday daddy dropped me off at NUS kent ridge campus for the NUS law writing test. met jody there and we chatted for quite a bit before going into the exam hall which was frickin cold and incredibly intimidating. i was definitely a minority there, in more ways than one. so i was feeling kind of out of place and uncomfortable. the test itself was challenging and i dont think i'll make thru. therefore, NUS FASS, here i come. haha. went home and rested and then went out to meet fadh. he drove us to tampines where we makan-ed and watch fast & furious 4! sexy paul walker and abang vin hahaha. the movie was goood and i enjoyed the cars :D dropped by syafs' to give her my econs and gp notes and then he sent me home! had a great day :D

alright im off to watch amazing race. lovelove! hopefully my next few weeks would be slightly less busy.

i absolute adore this song. i just find that it is so beautifully written and it just has a lot of meaning to it. kudos, mraz!

before the interview i had to get myself registered and it was really quick, and then we went to another seminar room to do the test. i did this essay entitled, 'The law is not so much carved in stone as it is written in water, flowing in and out with the tide. Comment and elaborate'. the quote is from this dude called jeff melvoin. anyway, i barely had enough time to read the questions and choose an essay to write, the test was a mere fifteen minutes. i wrote a page and i hope its enough and not out of point! i wrote about the flexibility of the legal structure and how it is impt that the legal structure is able to evolve to adapt to the changing legal issues we face. i hope its relevant.

then the interview stage. it was in groups of three, i was with another girl and a guy. they were quite friendly and we were already talking and stuff before going into the room so we would be more relaxed. the interviewers were both professors in the sch of law and they are in-ti-mi-da-ting, but nice. haha. we discussed the horizon towers issue and the en-bloc stuff. before long the topic moved on to whether same type of cases should be treated alike. professor tham thought that that is a legal principle which should not and cannot be changed but i thought that there is no point giving the same sentence to two cases committed by two different people, even if it is the same crime. i dont think there should be a one-size-fits-all cookie cutter for law. i hope i didnt offend the professor too much haha cause it was obviously not what he thought.

went home after my interview, changed and went out to meet fadh! he drove us to sembawang shopping centre and walked around. we wanted to eat fish and chicks but they only served ala-carte so we decided to go elsewhere. in the end we drove to charco's at amk. it was yummmmy, and very filling. i ate a portuguese quarted chicken with three types of salad (potato, eggs and chicken avocado) and fadh ate the chicken also but with chips. goood food. fadh dropped me off at the library where i ran in to drop off my books, and then he drove me home. thanks baby! <3

on saturday, i went out shopping with mary and linny! bought two shirts and new gladiators. spent quite a bit but since i worked continuously for two weeks it was a good therapy. heh heh. ate dinner at sakura with mary after lin left for the all-nighter bbq haha and then we walked around again. shall go out with you girls this weekend k! BEACH BEACH BEAACCH! <3

went home and watched liverpool! it was so friggin frustrating watching the whole match cause they hit the crossbar THRICE and the post once and it was sooo unlucky for liverpool. lucky deep into injury time benayoun scored, much to the disgust of my brother haha! and i am so **&*&^%^&% that utd won last night it was such a lucky break for them lah okay for that hot young italian to score. GRR. and ronaldo is becoming less and less appealing these days, such a whiny baby. im on team torres, baby!

hopefully he comes for singfest i dun mind forking money out to go! i think his voice is just so incredibly sexy and he is one of the few blessed individuals who sound better live than on studio recordings.

and i am seriously considering taking up my uncle's offer to fly me to abu dhabi and staying there for a couple of weeks before uni starts! maybe in july? :D but fadh just informed me that man utd will be in abu dhabi in december so maybe i'll go around tht time. hmm.

OH AND LIVERPOOL MAY BE COMING TO SINGAPORE IN JULY! OMGOSH I CANT WAIT I MUST GO SEE TORRES AND GERRARD LIVE OMGOSH.

yesterday we went to the st james flea market! i bought another skirt, a nice black top and yet another bag! it was a good bargain lah i got a pretty new mango bag for 20 bucks. but the deal of the day was lysa's marc jacobs wallet! we ate at secret recipe aft tht. all of us ate chicken cordon blu it was yummy and very filling. walked arnd vivo. went to daiso and spent a long time in there doing weird stuff and laughing at everything haha. then went to gloria jean's, bought diluted ice mocha and went to the rooftop! sat there for quite some time just chatting. haha adlin's feet were hurting so the three of us exchanged shoes! i wore adlin's flats, adlin wore lysa's slippers, and lysa wore my shoes! heh we changed back on the train home lol.

so i had a great weekend! hopefully next week i wld still be in the mood to celebrate. :(
